	Brent Carey email		Brent Carey, CFA, ASA, CBA Brent Carey brings over 10 years’ experience in financial consulting to the Financial Strategy Group, with expertise in business valuation, financial management, and business planning. He directed financial consulting and business valuation services at two Albuquerque accounting & consulting firms before founding FSG in 2003. Brent’s credentials are unmatched among finance and business valuation professionals in New Mexico. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the Association for Investment Management and Research, is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation with the American Society of Appraisers, and is a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) with the Institute of Business Appraisers. He is active in the New Mexico Society of Financial Analysts and is a frequent speaker on various business valuation topics. Prior to entering the financial consulting field, Brent was in the banking industry for eight years. He directed investments and funds management for United New Mexico Bank (now Wells Fargo) after having previously advanced to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of New Mexico Federal Savings and Loan. Brent earned a Bachelor’s Degree with honors in economics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in finance from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Administration at Rice University, where he was named a William Howard Keenan Fellow and a Jones Scholar. While completing his MBA, he received the Financial Executives Institute Academic Award and was the First Place Graduate Scholarship Award winner in the Houston Society of Financial Analysts annual competition. A 1994 graduate of Leadership Albuquerque, Brent has been active on several committees of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, including helping develop and serving as the initial chair of the Youth Leadership program. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Albuquerque Academy and is currently President of the Albuquerque Academy Alumni Association. He is a longtime member of the National Alumni Schools Committee for Johns Hopkins University.
	Susan Buchroeder email		Susan Buchroeder, MBA Susan Buchroeder’s areas of specialty are financial and economic research, business valuation, and financial management. Prior to founding the Financial Strategy Group, Susan was a consulting associate with two Albuquerque accounting & consulting firms and focused primarily on business valuation research, analysis, and reporting. She is currently pursuing the Accredited Member--Business Valuation designation from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR). Susan has completed the four principles of valuation classes required to obtain the Accredited Member designation from ASA. In June 2005, she passed the second of three required comprehensive examinations in the Chartered Financial Analyst program. Susan holds an MBA in finance from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson Schools of Management. She is active in the New Mexico Society of Financial Analysts and the local chapter of the ASA. Susan is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma National Business Honor Society and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Arizona.
